Sunday Services

The following three 10.30am services have a sermon, hymns and a choir. Sunday School runs most weeks during the term time, and a soft corner in the church with toys and books is available for smaller children accompanied by an adult. They last approximately an hour and are followed by coffee.

Holy Communion

At 8.00am there is a service of Holy Communion each Sunday from the Book of Common Prayer. This service has a short sermon (or thought for the day). Everything is said. The service lasts for half an hour.

Parish Communion

A service of Holy Communion is from Common Worship, Services and Prayers for the Church of England, 2000.

Family Service

A service for all ages with parts particularly suitable for children. Family services tend to be held on special occasions (eg: Mothering Sunday) and linked with these. (There is no Sunday School during this service).

Matins

A service of morning prayer from the Book of Common Prayer, 1662. This service has a sermon, hymns and choir.

Evensong

At 6.30pm there is a service from the Book of Common Prayer – Evensong most weeks, with a sermon, hymns and choir.

Short Family Service

Aimed principally at families with primary school age children, this fairly informal service lasts for no longer than half an hour. There are songs, prayers and a talk, but no books or service sheets.

Please note:  On Sundays when there is a Short Family Service followed by Matins, the former is at 10.00am and the latter at 11.00am. There is no Sunday School on these days. Coffee is served between the two services. Everyone is welcome. The evening service on these occasions will be Holy Communion from Common Worship.

Weekday Service

There is a service of Holy Communion from Common Worship every Wednesday at 9.30am, lasting half an hour. Morning Prayer is said each weekday at 8.30am (Tuesdays 8.00am) and Evening Prayer on Wednesdays at 6.00pm.
